In brief: Olli Ojanaho, triple junior world champion JWOC 2015 Middle, Long and Relay (FIN)

Olli Ojanaho born on 25 February 1997 lives in Rovaniemi and is a club member of Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura. He won 3 gold medals at JWOC 2015 at the age of only 18. Olli has dominated EYOC (European Youth Orienteering Championships) by taking medals at every start for the last three years with a total of 9 medals (6 x gold, 2 x silver, 1 bronze).

Are you happy with your winter training?
I'm not completely satisfied. I have been sick many times and therefore missed several weeks of training.

What would you prefer: winning a gold medal once or the bronze medal twice at JWOC 2016?
One gold medal.

What do you know about Switzerland?
Mountains, nature, Toblerone

What does Simone Niggli, the Director of the Organising committee, mean to you personally?
Of course I remember her! I think she is an excellent role model and source of inspiration for all youth orienteers around the world, but also a very impressive athlete and nice person.

In five years I’m …
...following my dreams.
